Time = Creativity

I have two pieces in the works, but no time to work on either. It's frustrating and disappointing. I pray for either more hours in the day or more energy to throw at the hours I'm not working. I'm sorry to my small (but loyal?) following.

I also think were I being tied up and spanked with any kind of regularity (meaning, at all) my inspiration and energy level would both be enhanced. So, there's that.

In the meantime -

This is a pay site and I'm cheap, but if you're interested in Shibari you should check it out. Jane's Guide likes them, and that's always a good sign.

Lack of time is always frustrating. I suggest carrying a notebook where you can jot down one or two thoughts as they occur, and then do lots of pre-planning. If you can get a story complete in your mind before you sit down, you'll find it doesn't take much time at all to put it down.

Thanks, Shon. That's a good idea. I find the problem is that I feel like I go on and on. There's too much and I worry that it's boring. I have to chuck the "editor" out the window for the first draft, I guess, then invite her back for revision. It's a process.

Loved your latest, btw. Those devils!

Eve, the editor is the first thing you got to chuck. Write and let it flow. Come back later and do post-production. In the meantime, feel free to write too much. It can always be trimmed back.

Thanks on the devil story :)

I learned in my writing class (professional, not fiction), to do exactly that.. mine the gold.. ie don't ever be critical as you get the pieces down, because you interrupt the flow. Time enough for careful consideration later.

but as far as you going on and on is concerned, you know I have suggested in the past that that has not been my impression at all. I like to hear what you have to say.

Sorry I can't volunteer to be your muse. I'm sure you are delicious over a lap.

I'm hoping to carve out a little time this weekend for writing.

Also, I don't know if I'm delicious, but these days I'd just like to be experienced. :)
