I've seen that partic...Sounds like a great evening. I've seen that particular work in person.. and I've always been fond of Picasso. Growing up, I had no idea he was so heavily influenced in his "innovations" by African tribal art as now appears to be the case. I wonder if some of what you term unflattering may be derivative of that art? I don't know, myself. I haven't studied it enough to have any real idea.
